The VW Beetle Type 11 version 1302 was built from 1970 to 1972 and had the largest engine with 50 hp from a four-cylinder boxer engine with 1600 cc. This model was the first to feature a more modern front axle with MacPherson struts and a modern semi-trailing arm rear axle.
