In 1996, Mercedes introduced the ACTROS series in various versions. This model features a 2-axle tractor with an M-cab and an ARAL fuel tank trailer. This makes the vehicle a particularly good fit for modern layout areas featuring gas stations, industry, logistics, freight transport, or road traffic around the model railroad.

CarMotion functional model with realistic driving operation

The vehicle offers short charging times thanks to modern Li-Po batteries and provides a runtime of approximately 4 to 6 hours during normal operation, including waiting periods and varying speeds. At maximum speed, a runtime of approximately 2 hours is possible.

For operation, the model features a charging and programming port as well as a convenient on/off switch via a reed switch located under the roof of the driver’s cab. Distance control is handled via an infrared transmitter and receiver.

Lighting Functions and Control Options

The functional model features cabin lighting, brake lights, reverse lights, controllable turn signals on the right and left, and hazard lights. Low beams and high beams are also included. Depending on the vehicle type, roof-mounted turn signals may be included.
