ZIMO MN160N decoder - Compact digital decoder for N, TT and small H0 scale models
The ZIMO MN160N decoder is a powerful, particularly flat non-sound decoder that has been specially developed for use in very small model railroad vehicles. Thanks to its particularly low height of just 1.6 mm - made possible by the single-sided assembly - this decoder is ideal for N and TT gauge models as well as small H0 vehicles with limited installation space. Despite its miniature size, the decoder offers the full range of functions for digital model railroad operation. The ZIMO MN160N is therefore the ideal choice for all model railroaders who do not want to do without modern digital control options even for small models.
Product details
The MN160N digital decoder impresses with its precise dimensions of just 13 x 7.5 x 1.6 mm. Thanks to the components only being located on the top, the underside remains completely flat and is also labeled, which makes installation easier. The decoder is specially designed for direct use with a 6-pin NEM651 interface. No additional connecting wires are required - a space-saving plug-and-play principle that enables quick and uncomplicated integration.
With a maximum motor and functional current load of 0.5 A in continuous operation and 1 A at peak load, the MN160N is designed for reliable use in small locomotives. It offers four function outputs for a wide range of applications such as light changes or other lighting functions. In addition, two further outputs are designed as logic level outputs.
Design and construction
A special feature of the ZIMO MN160N is its extremely flat design. With a height of just 1.6 mm, it is one of the thinnest decoders on the market and is therefore ideal for particularly confined installation spaces. The labeling on the underside facilitates orientation during installation, while the compact shape allows it to be used in a wide range of vehicle types. Despite its small size, the sophisticated design ensures reliable operation and easy handling.
Technical features
The decoder is a sub-miniature non-sound decoder specially tailored to the needs of small model vehicles. With a continuous current load of 0.5 amperes and a peak current load of 1 ampere, it reliably covers the requirements of typical models in N, TT and H0 scale. Its six-pin NEM651 interface is mounted directly on the decoder, eliminating the need for interference-prone cable connections. The four fully-fledged function outputs allow flexible control of lighting and additional functions. The two logic level outputs further extend the control options.
Scope of delivery
The scope of delivery includes the ZIMO MN160N decoder with the permanently attached 6-pin NEM651 interface. Other components such as connecting wires or additional adapters are not required and are not included. The decoder is immediately ready for use for vehicles with a corresponding NEM651 mount.
Suitable for model railroaders with the highest demands
The ZIMO MN160N is aimed at demanding model railroaders who are looking for a compact, powerful and reliable solution for digital operation. This decoder is the ideal choice for small vehicles or where space is limited. It enables comprehensive digital control without compromising on quality, even where space is limited.
