Bemo 1008836 DR 99 746 sä. VII K Altbaulok, Ep. III Product Details
The DR 99 746 is a class 99.7 steam locomotive, also known as an "Altbaulok", which belongs to Era III (the period from around 1945 to 1970). These locomotives were used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in Germany.
The class 99.7 was mainly used on narrow-gauge lines in the low mountain ranges and in the mountains. They were designed for freight and passenger transportation on these lines. Their characteristic features are their compact design and their ability to negotiate tight curves.
The DR 99 746 is part of this series and represents the era of steam locomotives in the middle of the 20th century. It would be an imposing presence on the rails, especially in the mountainous regions where its reliability and performance were particularly in demand.
