The L45H diesel-hydraulic bogie locomotive, built in large numbers between 1967 and 1985 by the vehicle and machine manufacturer FAUR in Bucharest, ran on many Eastern European railways and was also used on industrial and works railways. Today, the 450 hp and 10.25 m long narrow gauge locomotives for 750-1000 mm gauge are still in service in Romania (class 87), Poland (Lxd2), Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary (Mk45).
