Only ten locomotives were built, including the 02 010 presented here.

The model depicts the locomotive in the condition of Era II, i.e. before its conversion to the BR 01, which all ten BR 02s underwent between 1937 and 1942 at the Reichsbahnausbesserungswerk Meiningen.
