Brawa 41163 diesel locomotive BR 216 118-0 der DB, Ep. IV (incl. sound) AC current/AC

When the standard type program of the German Federal Railroad was created, there were already considerations for a mainline diesel locomotive with an output of 1500-1600 HP. The engine and drive of the resulting V160 are closely based on the V100. The class 216 locomotives were in use in almost all of the Bundesbahn's main administrations. They were used for passenger and freight services, where they proved their worth. At the beginning of the 1970s, the 216 118-0 was based at the Oldenburg depot of the BD Münster and was mainly used in passenger train service from there.
