The DR class 132 diesel locomotive has the road number "132 166-0" and is a prototypical model from the manufacturer BRAWA. The locomotive is from Era IV. The model, on the other hand, is a 2022 novelty from BRAWA and, in addition to a detailed appearance with period-appropriate paint/printing, also has numerous features, such as a bogie with internal bearings, a bogie and gear halves made of metal and free-standing metal grab irons. The locomotive was also prepared for retrofitting the locomotive sound.
Information about the prototype: After the DR already had numerous class 130 and 131 locomotives in service, but the actually desired universal use was not possible due to the lack of a train heating system, the breakthrough finally came with the class 132. The locomotives delivered in the first year were almost without exception distributed to important railroad depots with train hauling tasks in international passenger and freight traffic.
