Brawa 44162 H0 Triebwagen elT 1011-21 „Rübezahl“, DRG, Ep. II Product Details
The second generation of the "Rübezahl" - elT 1011-1021 as a detailed H0 model
With the Brawa 44162 elT 1011-1021 DRG railcar, you can experience the next stage in the development of the famous "Rübezahl" railcars on your H0 layout. This exact model of Era II combines the finest detailing with a special historical prototype - and thus brings real railroad history to your tracks.
Technical features and model information
The railcar is designed for 2-conductor direct current operation and has the road number Breslau 1012. It was located in the Hirschberg depot of the Breslau station. Equipped with a PluX22 interface, the model can be easily digitized. Thanks to a new motor and design optimizations, it impresses with its quiet, smooth running - ideal for realistic driving scenes in model railway operation.
Lighting & visual effects
The model offers red and white light changes thanks to modern LED technology. The upper carriage lanterns and rear train lights are also illuminated, as are the interiors, whose lighting can be switched separately. The third headlight can also be switched separately and thus enables prototypical operation - by day and night.
Proportions & compatibility
With a length over buffers of 251.7 mm, the model is manufactured exactly to 1:87 scale. It is suitable for a minimum radius of 360 mm and has NEM coupling shafts with close-coupling kinematics, making it easy to integrate into existing train formations. Ideal for combining with typical DRG branch line cars.
Background to the prototype - elT 1011 to 1021
The second designation of the "Rübezahl" railcar series was created in the early 1930s. Originally put into service as Breslau 511-521, they were given the new model series number elT 1011-1021. These railcars characterized electric operation on the "Zackenbahn" - a challenging mountain route in Silesia.
They were mostly used in double traction with sidecars and were regarded as a symbol of modern train transportation. The operations were particularly spectacular at weekends and in the winter season - up to three railcars and twelve sidecars were used at the same time. The elT 1012 is an example of this exciting era in railroad history.
A model for real Era II enthusiasts
The Brawa 44162 elT 1011-1021 offers the finest model quality combined with historical flair. Ideal for anyone who wants an authentic replica of the electric pioneer era on their layout - technically sound, visually convincing and historically sound.
