The classic with sound - elT 1011-1021 "Rübezahl" now with AC sound
With the Brawa 44165 elT 1011-1021 DRG railcar, you can experience the historic railroad world of Era II at the highest level - now also for the 3-wire AC system with integrated digital sound. The railcar affectionately named "Rübezahl" impresses with its nostalgic look, modern technology and an authentic sound that enriches your H0 layout.
Technology and equipment
The model is designed for AC operation and is factory-equipped with a digital decoder and sound module. It has the road number Breslau 1012 and was used at the Hirschberg depot of the Breslau station. A new, powerful motor ensures smooth and quiet running characteristics - ideal for demanding model railroaders.
Lighting & sound effects
The railcar has modern LED technology with red and white light changes, illuminated headlights and tail lights as well as a third headlight that can be switched separately. The interior lighting can also be activated independently - for a realistic representation of day and night scenes. The integrated sound rounds off the authentic driving experience.
Dimensions & integration into your system
With a length over buffers of 251.7 mm and a minimum radius of 360 mm, the railcar is ideal for all standard H0 layouts. Equipped with an NEM shaft and close coupler kinematics, it can be easily integrated into existing train formations - also ideal for use with historic sidecars.
The prototype: Electrification in Silesia
The "Rübezahl" railcars of the 511-521 series were operated from the 1930s under the new designation elT 1011-1021. They ran on the "Zackenbahn" between Hirschberg and Polaun, one of the first electrified mountain railroads in Prussia. Their use was characterized by flexibility, high capacity utilization on excursion days and the special challenge of mountainous routes.
With their open access platforms, two-tone paintwork and distinctive design, they shaped the image of electric traction in Silesia. The elT 1012 is exemplary of this era - now as a powerful-sounding model on your model railway layout.
For discerning AC model railroaders with a love of railroad history
The Brawa 44165 elT 1011-1021 combines historical authenticity with modern technology and a variety of sounds. Perfect for all those who want to stage a classic with soul on their H0 layout - now with digital sound and extensive lighting functions.
