Practicality in Series Production – The Postwar Classic

The Deutsche Reichsbahn focused on reuse and simplification. This is how this car came to be: with sealed skylights, a reduced number of doors per side of the car, and a new interior layout. The refurbished undercarriage was fitted with a newly manufactured car body—a typical feature of the so-called “Rekowagen.”
