With the B3trp compartment car, Brawa delivers an authentic model from the era of economic scarcity in the early GDR. For model railroaders who want to recreate the realistic rolling stock of the Deutsche Reichsbahn from the 1950s and 1960s on their layouts, this car is a must-have.

One Car, Many Compromises – Historically Accurate

In a time when materials and resources were scarce, even the Reichsbahn had to improvise. The pre-war compartment cars were modified and simplified: the number of doors on each side was halved, skylights were sealed, and new interior fittings were installed—the Brawa model faithfully reproduces these modifications. The chosen floor plan with a center aisle also corresponds to the temporary solutions developed at that time.

For use on Era III layouts

The car features a complete interior and is prepared for interior lighting—perfect for nighttime operation and shunting scenes. With its close-coupling mechanism, it fits perfectly into tight curves; however, the center wheel set for R360 must not be replaced.
