The Brawa 46620 German Federal Railroad (DB) Era IV Bnrzb724 passenger coach is a prototypical model that impresses with its detailed design and numerous prototypical details. With a length over buffers (LüP) of 303 mm and the road number "50 80 22-35 892-5", this passenger coach brings the characteristic features of Era IV to your H0 model railroad layout. Although the model does not have interior lighting, it is prepared for retrofitting and has a detailed interior.
The prototype: The German Federal Railroad Bnrzb724 passenger car
The Bnrzb724 is one of the DB passenger coaches that were originally designed for quick conversion in the event of a disaster to transport wounded people in an emergency. The coaches were based on an existing Bundeswehr design and were characterized by their steep-roofed design, which earned the coaches the nickname "Steildach Silberlinge" ("steep-roofed silvers"). In 1969 and 1970, a total of 180 of these wagons were built for DB in the Karlsruhe maintenance depot. They were equipped with disc brakes, but without steam heating, which made them suitable for modern passenger service in Era IV.
Technical highlights of the Brawa 46620 model
The Brawa 46620 passenger coach is a carefully executed model that impresses with numerous details. The interior is in several parts and reflects the layout of the passenger coaches of this era. In addition, the model is prepared for retrofitting interior lighting, which makes it ideal for operation at night on your layout.
The reproduction of the bogies is particularly prototypical, including the extra G150 generator mounted on the bogie. The complete brake system is also reproduced in detail, which further increases the technical accuracy of the model. The roof has fine welded seams, giving the model a realistic appearance.
Close-coupling kinematics and prototypical details
The passenger coach is equipped with close coupling kinematics in accordance with the NEM standard, which ensures smooth operation on your H0 layout. The wagon transition has a separately applied rubber bead that ensures a realistic transition between the wagons. The model also has a realistic representation of the brushed-on peacock's eye pattern on the car bodies, which makes the model look even more authentic.
Recommended purchase: A detailed model for demanding model railroaders
The Brawa 46620 Bnrzb724 passenger coach is an excellent choice for model railroaders who want to add a prototypical Era IV passenger coach to their H0 layout.
