Brawa 51146 H0 Reisezugwagen Bmhe, DR, Ep. IV Product Details
Brawa 51146 H0 Bmhe passenger coach, DR, Era IV - The "long Halberstadt" for authentic DR express trains
Would you like to recreate realistic express or regional trains of the Deutsche Reichsbahn? The Brawa 51146 Bmhe is a perfectly realized representative of the well-known Halberstadt express train cars - robust, rich in detail and versatile for use in Era IV train sets of the 1970s and 80s.
Finely detailed model with modern equipment
With a length over buffers of 303 mm and close-coupling kinematics in accordance with NEM, the car is ideal for realistic express train sets. The precisely fitted windows with printed frames and the multi-colored interior provide a harmonious overall appearance. The car is prepared for interior lighting. The rubber bead at the transition is spring-loaded, the bogies are faithfully reproduced, the generator on the bogie as well as free-standing grab irons and attached steps emphasize the high-quality model implementation. Road number: 51 50 21-40 105-1.
The prototype - DR Bmhe in express train and push-pull service
The Bmhe was one of the so-called "long Halberstadt cars" that were originally used in express train service - such as on the Leipzig-Chemnitz line. Later, many of these coaches were used in the old federal states, mostly in combination with Bybdzf-482 control cars in push-pull operation. They were typically hauled by class 232, 143, 219 or 234 coaches, with some coaches later also going to foreign railroad companies such as MÁV in Hungary.
A DR classic in service until DB AG
The Halberstadt coaches such as the Bmhe were still used occasionally under DB AG - e.g. on the Eisenach-Halle line. Their robust construction and easy maintenance made them popular and durable - not least because of this, many vehicles have been preserved in museums to this day.
Perfect for DR or post-reunification trains
Combine the Bmhe with other express train cars, WRge dining cars or Halberstadt control cars. Coordinates with class 232, 110, 118 or 143 locomotives. Also suitable for RegionalSchnellBahn scenarios or DB AG push-pull trains of the 1990s.
A must for DR model railroaders and prototype fans
