Brawa 51252 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen Z, CSD, Ep. III Product Details
Brawa 51252 H0 Boxcar Z, CSD, Era III: A Piece of Czechoslovak Railroad History
The Brawa 51252 H0 Covered freight car Z offers an authentic reproduction of the freight traffic of the Czechoslovak State Railroad (CSD) in Era III. With its detailed design and high-quality printing, this model is an impressive addition to historic freight trains.
The prototype: A standard wagon used throughout Europe
The Z boxcar is based on the A2 model sheet of the German State Railroad Car Association (DWV). From 1911, these wagons were built in large series for the state railroads and later also for the Reichsbahn. After the Second World War, many of these wagons were distributed throughout Europe, including at the CSD in what was then Czechoslovakia.
The CSD continued to use many of the wagons it had taken over and adapted them to its own standards. The robust design, combined with technical improvements such as the introduction of air brakes, made these wagons an important component of the CSD's freight transport network. They transported agricultural products, raw materials and consumer goods and were used on both domestic and international routes.
Brawa - Highest precision and attention to detail
Brawa places great value on attention to detail in the reproduction of this freight car. The finely reproduced board joints, openwork car body supports and specially attached axle bearing covers ensure an authentic appearance. The precise printing in the CSD design emphasizes the historical accuracy of this model and makes it an eye-catcher on any model railway layout.
Technical details of the Brawa 51252 G wagon
The model has a length over buffers of 107.2 mm and is designed for the 2-wire direct current system (DC). Thanks to the close coupling kinematics and the NEM coupling shafts, the car can be easily integrated into existing train formations. It is also possible to replace the wheel sets for operation on alternating current systems (AC).
Era III: The post-war period at the CSD
Era III (1945-1970) was a time of reconstruction and consolidation for the CSD. Many pre-war freight wagons continued to be used and modernized in order to meet the increasing demands of transport. The Z covered freight wagon was an indispensable part of the freight trains of the time and contributed to the economic development of the region.
Conclusion: A historically correct model for international freight trains
The Brawa 51252 H0 Covered freight wagon Z is the perfect choice for model railroaders who want to authentically recreate European freight trains. With its high-quality workmanship, numerous details and precise printing in the style of the CSD, this model is an excellent addition to H0 layouts.
