Brawa 51300 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen Hrs-vz332, DB, Ep. III Product Details

Hrs-vz332 boxcar, DB, Era III - Historical authenticity for your model railroad

The Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) Hrs-vz332 covered freight w agon represents the general cargo traffic of the 1950s and 1960s in its classic form. Inspired by the success of the Leig units (light freight trains), this car was developed to speed up the transportation of large quantities of general cargo. With its prototypical reproduction and high-quality details, this model is an indispensable element for all those who want to enrich their H0 layout with authentic trains from Era III.

Information about the prototype - The success story of the Leig units

The Deutsche Reichsbahn and later the Deutsche Bundesbahn relied on so-called Leig units to make the transportation of general cargo faster and more efficient. Two large freight wagons were connected by a wide gangway, which enabled the staff to sort the freight during the journey. This concept proved so successful that the Deutsche Bundesbahn began developing new, modern Leig units in the 1950s.

Based on the Glmehs 50, the Gllm(e)hs 52 was created, which initially bore the distinctive lettering "Stückgut-Schnellverkehr" (general cargo express service). The wagons were assigned to fixed home stations and operated in regular rotations. In the late 1970s, DB began to modernize some of the wagons before they were taken out of service in the early 1990s and replaced by trucks.

Detailed replica - perfection in H0

The model of the Hrs-vz332 covered goods wagon from BRAWA impresses with its prototypical reproduction down to the smallest detail. The fine reproduction of the board joints, the precisely printed side walls and the precisely executed brake and running gear details make this model an eye-catcher on any layout. The narrow frame to scale and the delicately attached components ensure an authentic appearance.

  • Fine reproduction of the board joints: For a realistic and detailed look
  • Brake shoes at wheel level: Prototypically and functionally integrated
  • Extra axle brake linkage and brake system: Carefully crafted details
  • Scale narrow frame: True to the original realization of the prototype
  • Metal axle brackets and internally profiled wheelsets: Durable and for precise driving behavior
  • Precise printing and paintwork: Ensures an authentic overall impression

The Hrs-vz332 is ideal for putting together realistic trains in combination with other goods wagons and steam locomotives from Era III. The precise printing, the intricate details and the close-coupling kinematics make this model the perfect choice for demanding model railroaders who want to depict historic trains in their full glory.
