Description

Brawa 51301 H0 Gedeckter Güterwagen Hrs-vz332, DB, Ep. III, AC Product Details

Hrs-vz332 boxcar, DB, Era III, AC - Efficient general cargo transportation for your model railroad

The Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) Hrs-vz332 boxcar embodies the innovative development of general cargo transportation in the post-war period. With its origins in the successful concept of the Leig units, this wagon was specially designed to transport large quantities of general cargo quickly and efficiently. Thanks to its precise reproduction, the finest details and the high-quality workmanship from BRAWA, this model is the ideal addition for Era III freight trains on your H0 model railroad layout.

Information about the prototype - The history of the Leig units

The Deutsche Reichsbahn already relied on Leig units (light freight traffic) as a key concept for the efficient transportation of general cargo. Two large freight wagons were short-coupled and connected by a wide gangway so that the staff could sort the freight during the journey. In the 1950s, the Deutsche Bundesbahn took up this idea again and developed the modern Gllm(e)hs 52 type Leig units based on the Glmehs 50.

These new units were initially marked with the distinctive lettering "Stückgut-Schnellverkehr" and played a central role in DB's fast freight services. The wagons were assigned to fixed home stations and ran in regular rotations. From the end of the 1970s, some of the wagons were modernized until they were finally taken out of service in the early 1990s and replaced by trucks.

Detailed model - precision and quality from BRAWA

The model of the Hrs-vz332 covered goods wagon impresses with its prototypical reproduction down to the smallest detail. The fine reproduction of the board joints and the precise printing make the wagon a real highlight on your layout. Thanks to the close coupling kinematics and the true-to-scale design, the wagons can be perfectly integrated into existing freight trains and ensure prototypical train formations.

  • Fine reproduction of the board joints: For an authentic appearance
  • Brake shoes at wheel level: Realized in detail for maximum realism
  • Extra attached components: Axle brake linkage, brake system and grab rails
  • Narrow frame to scale: For a faithful reproduction of the prototype
  • Metal axle brackets and internally profiled wheelsets: For smooth and realistic movement

Ideal for Era III trains

This covered freight car fits seamlessly into trains of the 1950s and 1960s, when the German Federal Railroad modernized its freight traffic with innovative concepts. Especially in combination with other freight cars and steam locomotives, the Hrs-vz332 unfolds its full effect on your layout and conveys the typical flair of Era III.

Conclusion - A must-have for fans of historic freight trains

The Hrs-vz332, DB, Era III, AC boxcar is a high-quality model that will impress you with its precise workmanship and prototypical details. A wagon that not only tells the story of general cargo transportation, but is also a real eye-catcher on your H0 layout.
