Solid technology meets fine details

Equipped with an obliquely grooved 5-pole motor with two flywheels and two traction tires, the locomotive offers excellent running characteristics. The light change ensures realistic train representation - supplemented by integrated interior lighting. The cab lighting is provided in the Digital EXTRA version. The PluX22 interface makes it easy to retrofit digital and sound functions.

Model quality at the highest level

A technical monument from the GDR

The prototype of the locomotive - the E11 series - was built in the early 1960s as the first new electric locomotive in the GDR. Developed by VEB Lokomotivbau Elektrotechnische Werke "Hans Beimler" in Hennigsdorf, its 2500 kW output enabled it to handle even 700 t express trains on gradients of up to 10 per thousand. The model shows the locomotive in its operational phase under the class designation 211 of Era IV - a must for fans of East German railroad history.
