Brawa 70122 H0 steam locomotive 01.10, DB, Ep. III, DC-Sound Product Details
Are you looking for a digitized express train steam locomotive with sound for your Era III layout?
The Brawa 70122 H0 steam locomotive BR 01.10 of the German Federal Railroad is a high-quality replica of the legendary 01 1066 in 1964 condition. With factory-integrated digital decoder with sound, LED lighting, oil firing and numerous applied details, this model offers the highest level of prototypical fidelity for demanding H0 railroaders.
Model information & technical data
The locomotive is manufactured for the H0 gauge (scale 1:87) and measures 277.50 mm over buffers. It is intended for the 2-wire direct current system (DC) and is digitized at the factory including original sound. The PluX22 interface is installed so that future extensions or decoder changes are also possible.
Technology & drive
The drive is in the tender for the best possible running characteristics. The locomotive has a close coupler between the locomotive and the tender as well as a standard guide shaft at the tender end. Single axle bearings made of metal, a true-to-scale wheelbase and high-quality components ensure smooth running. Minimum radius: recommended from R 420 mm.
Detailing & equipment
The model shines with an openwork die-cast zinc frame, spoked wheels, filigree metal driving and coupling rods and a finely reproduced internal drive unit. The LED lighting offers a white light change and also illuminates the driver's cab. The rear wall of the standing boiler is also prototypically reproduced.
Prototype history: The famous express train locomotive 01 1066
The class 01.10 was developed from 1939 as a fast three-cylinder express train locomotive with streamlining. After the war, the DB removed the cladding, modernized the locomotives extensively and converted many of them to oil firing. The 01 1066 was based at Osnabrück depot and was one of the best-known locomotives in the Emsland express train service. It is now preserved as a museum locomotive.
For fans of classic DB express trains with digital operation
Whether on the roller track or on the marsh line - the 01.10 was a legend. With its high-quality digital sound, detailed appearance and impressive technology, this locomotive is the centerpiece of any Era III layout in H0.
