Busch 1588 Aussichtsplattform

Busch 1588 Observation Deck – A Nature Experience on a Model Scale

With the Busch 1588 kit for an octagonal observation deck, you can bring a truly special nature experience to your model railroad layout. The lovingly crafted platform made of real wood not only offers an impressive view but also incorporates wildlife feeding elements, making it a versatile and realistic showstopper—ideal for detailed landscape scenes.

Lifelike design with great attention to detail

The platform’s octagonal shape, the surrounding railing, and the harmonious staircase create an authentic overall look. A particularly clever touch is the opening in the floor with a spruce tree “growing through” it—a pre-assembled model that adds height and a natural feel to the layout. Visitors experience a realistic scene that embodies tranquility, vastness, and rural idyll.

The integrated feeding rack and watering trough also underscore the functional character of this platform, which serves not only as a viewing point but also as a wildlife feeding area. Such elements make the model a real eye-catcher—especially in forest and meadow landscapes or on the edge of a nature park.

A Harmonious Ensemble with a Terrace and Shelter

The platform also includes a separate visitor terrace with a staircase and a feeding shelter with a gabled roof. Both elements are thoughtfully proportioned and blend harmoniously into the overall scene. The movable door and the precisely crafted wooden elements add to the authenticity and depth of play—ideal for diorama builders and model landscape designers.

Versatile for use in any model landscape

Whether at the edge of a forest, as part of a hiking trail, or as the centerpiece of a wildlife preserve—the Busch 1588 observation platform fits into a wide variety of scenarios. The use of genuine wooden components gives the model a particularly high-quality appearance and allows it to blend seamlessly into lifelike layouts.
