Busch 51285 Framo Halbbus "Kundendienst Diamant"

Customer service vehicle from VEB Diamantwerke in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz) in Saxony. Founded in 1885 by the Nevoigt brothers in Reichenbrand near Chemnitz, the company initially manufactured accessories for warp knitting machines, nibs and flat embroidery machines. However, by the end of the same year, the company had already started producing bicycles. Technically and visually, the company was at its peak in the 1950s; the revolutionary development of the filigree round disk fork made the touring, sports and racing bikes bestsellers, which, unlike other bikes, were far ahead of their time. Today, Diamant belongs to the American manufacturer Trek and produces around 300,000 bicycles a year.
