Busch 5720 Lichtschranke

An IR light barrier consists of a transmitter that emits invisible IR (infrared) light and a receiver that registers this light. If the light barrier is interrupted, this is evaluated by the receiver. As light barriers work with very low currents, they can only be used in conjunction with items that have the required receiver electronics (e.g. Busch timer 5963 or electronic relay 5740).

As the light barriers are used for contactless switching, they offer maximum reliability with an almost unlimited service life.

• if the light barrier is interrupted, this is evaluated by the receiver
