Busch 5962 IR-Lichtschranke

An IR light barrier consists of a transmitter that emits invisible IR (infrared) light and a receiver that registers this light. If the light barrier is interrupted, this is evaluated by the receiver. As light barriers work with very low currents, they can only be used in conjunction with items that have the required receiver electronics (e.g. Busch time switch 5963, electronic relay 5740, presence switch 5743 or control module 5745).

As contactless switching is used with the light barriers, the result is maximum reliability with an almost unlimited service life.

Features:

• IR transmitter (which emits invisible infrared light) and IR receiver (which receives the "transmitted" infrared light)
• if the light barrier is interrupted, this is evaluated by the receiver
• as these work with very low currents, we recommend the following articles (which have the required receiver electronics): Busch time switch 5963 or electronic relay 5740
• maximum reliability with almost unlimited service life
• Dimensions (L x W x H): 18.0 x 9.0 x 20.0 mm
• the range with Busch electronic relay 5740 and control module 5745 is max. 100 mm, with timer 5961/5963 max. 250 mm.
