ESU 54672 PowerPack Maxi, 2x 5F/2.7V

The new ESU PowerPack Maxi has been developed as a powerful addition to the LokSound L V4.0 / LokSound 5 L, but - where space is available - it can also be connected to all LokPilot V4.0, LokSound V4.0, LokSound V4.0 M4, LokPilot 5 and LokSound 5. It reliably supplies your locomotive with energy when driving over dirt areas and long switch roads. With the help of two energy accumulators (each with 5 Farad capacity), the sound as well as the light and motor functions are buffered and thus ensure that your models can continue to run without power for up to 3 seconds, depending on the power consumption.

The PowerPack Maxi has an integrated charging circuit and is controlled by the decoder. It can therefore remain in the locomotive even during programming. The charging current is furthermore limited to prevent excessive load on your booster if several models are in use. The buffer time can be limited by means of a CV on the decoder side, so that red signals also lead to an accurate signal stop.

However, the size of the PowerPack Maxi of approx. 27.5 mm x 15.7 mm x 13 mm must be taken into account during installation. A 3-pin cable connection is required between the decoder and the PowerPack Maxi. The cable is already soldered to the PowerPack Maxi, but must be soldered on the decoder side itself.

Note: Please note that the PowerPack automatically switches off in analog mode for technical reasons: Buffering is therefore not possible in analog mode.
