About the model: Fleischmann is presenting an N model of the 2nd class SBB passenger coach, Era VI, in the current design of the Swiss Federal Railroad. The model shines with a detailed look and impresses with features such as a complete interior and a NEM 355 shaft with KK kinematics. Furthermore, the model has already been prepared for retrofitting interior lighting. The car has a length of 165 mm.

About the prototype: The type EW IV standard cars were delivered to the SBB starting in 1981 and, with over 500 units, form one of the largest Swiss car fleets. The car body is made of welded lightweight steel construction. The coaches are very popular with passengers due to their spacious interior with face-to-face seating and smooth running characteristics, even at high speeds. With various modernizations, the EW-IV coaches are still in use today practically throughout Switzerland.
