Fleischmann 708774 steam locomotive BR 86, DR, Ep. IV (incl. sound) Product Details
From 1928 to 1943, almost all German locomotive factories delivered a total of 775 machines of this series to the Deutsche Reichsbahn-Gesellschaft. The 1,000 HP locomotives were designed for a speed of 70-80 km/h, which meant that they could also be used on main lines and feeder lines in addition to their main "branch line" application. At the beginning of the 1950s, 164 class 86 locomotives were still available in the GDR. In 1970, 162 locomotives were still given EDP-compatible road numbers, and they were withdrawn from service starting in 1973.
