Fleischmann 714574 N Steam locomotive 01 202, Ep. IV-V, DC sound
Are you looking for an impressive express steam locomotive with an eventful history for your model railroad? The 01 202 is a real gem of railroad history - today in use as a museum locomotive and now available as a finely detailed sound model in N scale. Ideal for Era IV and V and as a highlight in special train compositions.
01 202 - Technical history on rails
The 01 202 locomotive was built by Henschel in Kassel in 1936 and was used for a long time on the German Federal Railroad in southern Germany. It spent its last years of service in the Hof depot, including on the famous inclined plane. Since 1975, the locomotive has been in Switzerland, where it has been lovingly restored by railroad enthusiasts. Today, the Pacific 01 202 Association looks after its operation - an impressive example of living railroad history.
Finest model realization with digital equipment
The model impresses with a multitude of details: open front apron, Witte wind deflectors, central smokebox door, elaborate printing on the boiler rings and wheel tires as well as an additional generator. The clear view between the boiler and running gear emphasizes the filigree design. The cab and engine lighting can be switched in digital operation. The Next18 sound decoder provides a realistic steam sound.
Ideal for museum trains or special services
With a length of 150 mm over buffers, NEM 355 couplers on the tender with close coupler link and kinematics between the locomotive and tender, the model is suitable for operation on radii from 192 mm. Two axles with traction tires and precise current pick-up ensure excellent running characteristics - ideal for nostalgic runs on your layout.
