The 56.20 series was delivered from 1919 and was a real powerhouse with an output of 1,023 kW (1,390 hp). With a weight of 120.4 tons and a top speed of 65 km/h, these locomotives were particularly intended for freight trains. A total of 850 units were built, proving their robustness and efficiency.
