Fleischmann 7560025 N electric locomotive 1144 279-7, ÖBB, Ep.VI

From 1976 to 1995, ÖBB purchased 217 of the four-axle thyristor locomotive series 1044. The 5,120 kW locomotives with speeds of up to 160 km/h shaped the modern image of ÖBB for many years. From 2002, all 1044s were equipped with reversing train control. This made the vehicles, now known as 1144s, even more versatile.
