After the reunification of Germany in 1990, Bernd Gützold, the son of the founder, succeeded in bringing the company back into family ownership. In 2012, production had to be temporarily discontinued due to a lack of company succession.
Despite these setbacks, Bernd Gützold maintained the vision and spirit of the company. In 2013, Gützold Modellbau GmbH resumed work under new management. This revival was a sign of change and adaptation to the new market conditions. After further changes and strategic decisions, the company was taken over by Fischer-Modell GmbH in 2017. This takeover ensured that the traditional Gützold name would be continued to this day and that the high standards of quality and attention to detail would continue to be maintained.
