Kres 1963D luggage trolley car DDG(e), DR, Ep. IV (digital, without sound) Product Details
About the prototype: In the early 1960s, 4-axle double-decker baggage cars were produced in the Delitzsch railroad depot. As part of a reconstruction program, a total of 21 cars were built on bogies and underframes of old passenger coaches in various designs. The 1-door luggage coach ran on two-axle swan-neck bogies and the 2-door luggage coaches ran on two-axle bogies of the Görlitz type.
With their high gangways, the double-decker baggage cars were intended as a supplement for the 5-car double-decker link trains DGBe (DGB 12). Later, they were also used in express freight and luggage trains. All of the cars were taken out of service and scrapped in the early 1980s.
