The set includes the class 086 543-6 steam locomotive and two matching Era IV freight cars - a Gs 211 boxcar and an Ibdlps 383 refrigerator car, each in the German Federal Railroad version. Prototype: Class 086 - Steam Power on Branch Lines

The class 86 was a tender locomotive built in large numbers for use on branch lines and in light freight train service. In Era IV, these locomotives were already at the end of their regular service life, but continued to dominate the scene on non-electrified lines for many years. The class 086 543-6 locomotive shown here is a typical example of this period and is complemented by two types of wagons essential for freight transport at that time - the Gs 211 and the Ibdlps 383.
