LGB 21120 MAV M28 Diesel Locomotive

The prototype was manufactured by the long-established company Rába, based in Györ. Approximately 100 M 28 locomotives were built and were used not only by the state railways but also by private and industrial railways for light shunting duties.

M28 1001 as a factory locomotive in Győr

The M 28 1001 is the first locomotive in this series and was built in 1955. Some time ago, it was transported by flatbed truck from the Railway Museum in Budapest to the Märklin factory in Győr, where it underwent extensive refurbishment and restoration by the staff.

For the color scheme, the team opted for Chromium Oxide Green RAL 6020. As a result, the locomotive now features the color scheme of the 1970s and visually evokes Era IV, while the model is classified as an Era VI version.

Completely new design with light and sound functions

The model is a completely new design and features two powered axles. A powerful, ball-bearing motor provides the drive, and the locomotive is additionally equipped with a traction tire.

The mfx/DCC decoder offers numerous light and sound functions, including headlight illumination, cab lighting, engine lighting, running sound, horn, and other features.
