Description

LGB 21486 G Dampflok 99 1734-5, SDG, Ep. VI, DC-MFX-Sound Product Details

LGB 21486 G Steam Locomotive 99 1734-5, SDG, Era VI

Are you looking for an impressive narrow-gauge steam locomotive for your G-gauge layout that combines history, technology, and exceptional sound features? The LGB 21486 SDG Steam Locomotive 99 1734-5 brings a modernized Saxon VII K from the 99.73-76 series to your garden railway as a highly detailed model.

The prototype is one of the well-known Saxon narrow-gauge locomotives and was modernized in the late 1960s. As part of this process, some locomotives were fitted with new welded water and coal boxes, replacing the original riveted versions. Even today, these locomotives continue to perform important service for the SDG on the Fichtelberg Railway, the Lößnitzgrund Railway, and the Weißeritztal Railway.

SDG Narrow-Gauge Steam Locomotive 99 1734-5

The model impresses with its impressive length of 51 cm and its historically accurate Era VI paint scheme and lettering. Two powerful, ball-bearing-mounted motors provide the drive, supported by traction tires for reliable traction.

The articulated undercarriage allows operation on tight curves down to R1 with a radius of 600 mm. This makes the locomotive suitable even for challenging garden rail layouts with smaller track radii.

Wheel-Synchronized Steam Exhaust and Extensive Digital Functions

The mfx/DCC decoder offers numerous lighting and sound functions. These include, among others, headlights that change direction with the locomotive’s direction of travel, running sounds, a whistle, cab lighting, and firebox lighting.

The built-in smoke generator produces steam emission synchronized with the wheels, along with additional cylinder steam, creating the realistic effect of a hard-working steam locomotive. The smoke box door and cab door can be opened to reveal additional details.

For special winter runs, the included Christmas tree decoration can be mounted on the smoke box door. Get the LGB 21486 Steam Locomotive 99 1734-5 and add an exceptional SDG narrow-gauge model with impressive technology and strong prototypical accuracy to your G-gauge layout.
