The history of the FZe 6/6 - from luxury train to museum train

In the early 1930s, two high-performance railcars were built by SIG/BBC for the "Golden Mountain Pullman Express". Originally designed for luxury long-distance services, they were rarely used for passenger services due to the Great Depression. Instead, the six-axle FZe 6/6 railcars - with over 1100 hp - proved their worth in freight transport, particularly during the construction of the Hongrin Dam in the 1960s. After several conversions and decommissioning in the 1990s, the car was taken over by the Blonay-Chamby Museum Railway in 2002 and brought back to life.

True to the original down to the last detail

The LGB model shows the FZe 6/6 railcar in the condition of Era VI as it runs on the museum railroad today. The color scheme and printing are based on the current appearance, including the authentic roof superstructures and pantographs. The model is made entirely of metal and is characterized by an extremely high level of detail - from the running gear to the window frames to the interior fittings.

The railcar is equipped with a modern mfx/DCC decoder that offers numerous digital functions. These include the Swiss light change, driver's cab and interior lighting as well as digitally controllable pantographs that can be raised and lowered.
