LGB 36372 - G Passenger coach 2nd class type KB "Reko-Wagen", DR (Era IV)

The LGB 36372 is a faithfully reproduced model of a type KB 2nd class "Reko" passenger car. These cars were built as part of the German State Railroad's reconstruction program to extend the service life of older narrow gauge cars and were a characteristic feature on many routes until the 1980s - including on the Zittau network, which served as this car's home.

Typical features such as rubber bead-framed new-build windows, blasting work on the carriage frame and the typical period color scheme with DR lettering make this carriage an authentic representative of Era IV - the last phase of active narrow-gauge operation in the GDR. Even today, many of these cars are still in use on museum railroads - often with the original lettering - so that they can also be used in Era VI without any problems.

Technical details & equipment

The car is equipped with robust metal wheelsets and has a complete interior as well as movable doors. The striking sprinkler system under the car floor, rubber-covered window frames and finely printed lettering elements underline the faithfulness to the original and detailing.

With a length over buffers of 58 cm, the car is ideal for use on garden railroad layouts - both in active operation and in combination with other models such as the LGB 21484 steam locomotive 99 1757-6 on the Zittau narrow-gauge network.
