Märklin 26619 H0 train pack "Spalter Bockl", DB, Ep. III, AC-MFX-Sound Product Details

Märklin 26619 H0 "Spalter Bockl" Train Set - DB, Era III with mfx+ Sound

The Märklin 26619 "Spalter Bockl" train set brings the charming local railroad history of the 1950s back to your H0 layout. The set consists of the legendary Bavarian class 98.3 tank locomotive - better known as the "glass box" - and three German Federal Railroad local train cars to go with it as they were in use around 1957. Included are a baggage and mail car as well as two 3rd class passenger cars - all of Bavarian design.

The locomotive is equipped with an mfx+ digital decoder and offers extensive sound functions for a realistic sound experience. A miniature motor in the boiler drives both axles, and traction tires provide additional traction. The locomotive has a three-light headlight signal that changes with the direction of travel and can be controlled conventionally or digitally. A large bell is placed centrally on the boiler and rounds off the typical appearance.

The high-quality design deserves special attention: The locomotive body is made of metal-filled plastic to improve tractive effort, while the inner boiler is made of metal. Numerous delicately applied handrails, grab rails and the fine reproduction of the boiler fittings underline the high quality of detail. The locomotive also has a digitally switchable, current-carrying coupling and a buffer tank that reliably bridges short sections of track without power. The locomotive is approx. 8.0 cm long over the buffers.

The three local train carriages included also impress with their technical sophistication: They have LED interior lighting as standard, which is powered by the locomotive. An integrated buffer tank ensures flicker-free light. Thanks to separable, current-carrying couplings, a reliable connection and current transfer between the cars is guaranteed. The total length of the train is approx. 50 cm over the buffers.

This set is ideal for model railroaders who value historical authenticity and technical equipment. The "Spalter Bockl" was one of the last uses of this iconic class in branch line service and is today a symbol of the charming local railroad traffic of the post-war period in Bavaria. The combination of detailed design, digital technology and LED lighting makes this set a special highlight on any Era III layout.
