Description

Märklin 39128 H0 electric locomotiveBR E10.3, DB, Ep. III, AC-MFX-Sound Product Details

Märklin 39128 H0 Class E10.3 "Crease" Electric Locomotive - DB, Era III with mfx+ Sound

The Märklin 39128 is an authentic reproduction of the legendary class E10.3 - better known under the nickname "Bügelfalte". This locomotive shaped the heyday of the German Federal Railroad from the 1960s like almost no other. With its characteristically curved front and the continuous fan belt, it was the epitome of speed, performance and elegance on the electrified main lines of the DB.

The prototypical model bears the road number E10 384 and represents the condition around 1967. The locomotive is painted in steel blue with a stone gray frame and has a buffer cover, apron, all-round rain gutter and end grips. This makes it a perfect representation of one of the typical machines used in the high-quality express train service between major cities.

Technically, the model features a controlled high-performance drive with flywheel mass, which is installed centrally. All four axles are driven by cardan shafts and traction tires ensure reliable traction. A buffer storage unit bridges short powerless sections on the layout and thus ensures uninterrupted operation - even with points or dirty sections of track.

A highlight is the integrated mfx+ digital decoder from the Märklin world of games, which provides numerous light and sound functions. These include the triple headlights that change over with the direction of travel, two red marker lights, a separately controlled headlight on both sides of the locomotive, and a double A light function. The cab lighting can be controlled digitally, as can the separately controlled pantographs, type DBS 54, which are mounted without visible fastening.

The LED lighting is provided by maintenance-free, warm white and red LEDs and is finely tuned to the scale. Detailed roof superstructures with filigree lines, realistically designed insulators and precisely reproduced pantographs round off the high-quality appearance.

The model is also ideally positioned in terms of compatibility: The buffer height complies with the NEM standard, kinematic close couplers ensure prototypical car transitions. Brake lines, heating lines and screw couplings are included as separately attachable accessories. The locomotive has a length over buffers of 18.9 cm and can be ideally combined with Era III express train cars.

The Märklin E10.3 is a real must for all fans of classic Federal Railroad electric locomotives - whether in use on the layout or as a display case model with character and history. It combines historical significance, technical precision and top digital functions in a stylish overall package.
