Description

Märklin 43383 H0 Leichtstahlwagen 2.Klasse, SBB, Ep. IV Product Details

A Classic with a Center Entrance – Märklin H0 SBB 2nd-Class Light-Steel Car

With the Märklin 43383 2nd-Class Light Steel Car, you can bring an authentic piece of Swiss railway history to your H0 layout. The car features the typical fir-green design of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) and depicts its condition around 1990. With its two double-leaf doors and characteristic center entrance, this type of car was particularly widespread in regional and commuter service.

Prototype-accurate design with historical flair

The light-steel car is faithfully reproduced in its original configuration with a bellows and center entrance. Its typical appearance and green color scheme make it the perfect addition to Era IV/V train sets—especially when combined with other SBB light-steel cars.

Technically prepared for lighting and coupling systems

The car is prepared for the retrofitting of interior lighting (Item No. 73400/73401 or 73410/73411) and current-carrying couplers (item no. 7319 or 72020/72021). This makes the model ideal for integration into existing train sets with digital power supply.

True to scale and versatile

With a length of approximately 26 cm over the buffers on a 1:87 scale, the car is perfectly suited for all standard H0 layouts. The matching E700580 DC wheel set is available separately for DC operation. Whether used alone or in combination, this car impresses with its flexibility and quality.

Recommended Combinations

Complementary additions include the 1st-class light-steel car (Item No. 43363) and the additional 2nd-class car with a different door arrangement (Item No. 43373). The SBB Re 4/4 II electric locomotive (Item No. 38350) is recommended as a matching locomotive.

Contents

Included is the 2nd-class light-steel car in fir-green paint with bellows, prepared for interior lighting and an electrified coupler. DC wheel set E700580 sold separately.
