The Prototype – Systematic Side Unloading

The Tds-type cars are rotary-gate side-discharge cars with a swing-top roof, designed specifically for weather-sensitive bulk cargoes such as lime, grain, or fertilizer. Their advantage: they can be unloaded quickly while also providing protection from precipitation. The ÖBB continues to use such cars both domestically and abroad to this day.
