Massoth 8444000 Weichenantrieb EVO-S Product Details
Are you a garden railroader and would like to switch points on your garden railroad layout in a prototypical manner with a slow setting path? These and many other functions are now possible with the new EVO-S point machine from Massoth. With the EVO-S, Massoth has not only improved the turnout drive, but reinvented it and applied for a patent for the unique product concept. What makes it so unique? It offers a prototypically slow setting travel and at the same time the possibility of cutting open the points. Even after cutting, the EVO-S can be switched back to the previous preferred setting direction at any time. Alternatively, the drive can be configured so that the switch blades are firmly in contact.
The EVO-S is the smallest series-produced drive with an additional integrated decoder and is suitable for all types of turnouts from common manufacturers. The DCC decoder supports digital and analog operation without major programming effort for use directly out of the box. It is therefore also very suitable for digital beginners.
The required end point for the travel of the points does not need to be programmed, the drive adjusts itself at any time. Up to 12 mm travel is available for this, sufficient for all standard turnouts. A manual fall-back switch function can be activated for one of the two switching directions. And, of course, the drive switches almost silently.
But the EVO-S would not be suitable for outdoor use if it had not been specially designed for this purpose. The electronics are not located at the bottom of the housing as usual, but are housed in an air cushion on the ceiling. This means that the motor and electronics are always dry. The electronics are also encapsulated to protect them from humidity. Rain and waterlogging do not affect the drive. As soon as the water has drained away, the EVO-S can be used as usual. And should it ever be necessary, the motor can be easily replaced for servicing.
