Minitrix 11164 - N Starter set "Regional Express", DB AG (Era VI)
The Minitrix 11164 "Regional Express" digital starter set brings modern local transportation to the N scale. It includes a diesel-electric mainline locomotive based on the class 245 as well as two modern double-decker cars from Deutsche Bahn AG - one 1st/2nd class car and one 2nd class car. The depicted operating condition corresponds approximately to the year 2013 - ideal for current Era VI layouts.
With mfx/DCC decoder, sound, LED lighting and extensive accessories, the set offers a perfect introduction to the digital world of N-gauge. Whether for beginners or as an addition to existing layouts - this set impresses with its modern technology and prototypical design.
Technical details & equipment
The locomotive is equipped with an mfx/DCC decoder and a sound generator. The 5-pole motor with flywheel mass ensures smooth running, four axles are powered, traction tires provide additional traction. The chassis is made of sturdy die-cast metal.
The LED headlights change between white and red depending on the direction of travel. Both the locomotive and cars have close coupling kinematics with an NEM coupling shaft, which allows prototypical train formation with close coupling distances.
