Modellbau Veit 71042 steam locomotive 99 4052 der DR Epoche III Product Details
The finished model of the class 99 4052 steam locomotive is powered by a Faulhaber motor, which has excellent running characteristics.
Prototype: The locomotive, built in 1934 in the Ukraine, was captured in World War 2 and brought to Germany. In 1948-49 it received a refurbishment at Bw Zittau and was then used on many Saxon lines. From April 1, 1953, the locomotive came to the Trusebahn and later to the Burger network. In 1958, it was refurbished again and then given the number 99 4541. In 1965, the locomotive was taken out of service and disassembled in 1966. It became famous due to its idiosyncratic name 'rubber steamer'. This locomotive is built as it ran on the Thumer network.
