Modellbau Veit 71053 steam locomotive Aquarius C, Ep. V-VI Product Details
The Aquarius C steam locomotive impresses with its true-to-the-original paint scheme and printing. The locomotive is powered by a Faulhaber engine, which has excellent running characteristics. The finished model is digitally prepared
Prototype: The locomotive built in 1939 at Borsig, make no. 14806 was the prototype for 5-coupled locomotives for army field railroads. Originally designed as a tender locomotive, however, it was equipped with a tender. From 1945-84, it ran on small railroads in Austria. After an overhaul, the locomotive came to the Jagsttalbahn in 1986 and was in service there until 1988. In May 1997, it was put into service with the Rügenschen Kleinbahn. At the end of 2011, it came to Jöhstadt for refurbishment. Since May 2012, it has been in regular service there as a guest locomotive. Our locomotive is built in the current version. If there is enough customer response, we will also manufacture the identical No. 152 of the Jagsttalbahn, which is still preserved today.
