PIKO 24564 - H0 Post pack wagon, MAV, Era III

The Piko 24564 is a lovingly designed model of a combined mail and luggage wagon of the Hungarian state railroad MAV from Era III. The vehicle brings an important element of historical railroad mail and luggage traffic to the H0 model railroad and is ideally suited for train sets of the 1950s and 60s.

The car impresses with its detailed design, precise engravings and clean paintwork with sharply contoured printing. A special highlight is the preparation for the installation of interior lighting, which means that the car can also be effectively staged in the dark.

True-to-original model for international mail trains

As a combined mail/packing wagon, the prototype was used to transport mail and luggage. This type of wagon was used in international express and passenger trains - especially in combination with express coaches from Austria or the GDR.

Technology & flexibility

With a length over buffers of 221 mm, the model is generously dimensioned and also runs reliably on radii from 358 mm. Thanks to the compatible bogies and the possibility of exchanging the wheel sets (for AC: item no. 56061), the car can be flexibly integrated into any layout.
