With the Piko set of 2 PKP Intercity passenger coaches, model railroaders receive two representative passenger coaches of the Polish state railroad PKP-IC in the current version of Era VI. The set includes a 1st class coach and a 2nd class coach - ideal for authentic long-distance train compositions.

Model design - detailed & practical

Both coaches have realistic window arrangements, finely detailed interiors and a clear view into the passenger compartment. The interior lighting can be retrofitted (set #56284). Thanks to the NEM shaft with close coupler link, the cars run reliably in trains of any length - whether in an intercity formation or as an independent set in charter service.

Prototype: PKP Intercity comfort cars - everyday use in long-distance service

The Polish railroad company PKP Intercity uses these coaches on national and international services. Typical for trains between Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk and destinations in Germany, Austria or the Czech Republic. The modern PKP colors and clearly structured class divisions make these cars a real eye-catcher.

Model railroad operation & compatibility

The set is suitable for DC systems with a minimum radius of 358 mm. Thanks to AC exchange wheel sets (optionally available), the cars can also be used on AC systems if required. Both cars are fully compatible with other PKP cars or international passenger train compositions.
