The PIKO 47269 brings a special model to the TT tracks: The robust BR 290 diesel locomotive in the rare version for the Bundeswehr in Era IV. This variant combines technical strength with an unusual appearance and brings variety to any model railroad operation - whether in freight traffic or military scenarios.

Striking design meets proven technology

The four-axle BR 290 is presented in the typical Bundeswehr design of the 1970s and 80s and stands out with its subtle color scheme. The model has finely crafted railings, sharply engraved details and a stable frame made of die-cast zinc, which ensures excellent running characteristics. With a clearance of 120 mm, the locomotive fits perfectly on medium and large TT layouts.

Digitally prepared - quickly ready for use

Thanks to the integrated PluX16 interface (NEM 658), the locomotive can be retrofitted with a digital decoder in no time at all. Two traction tires ensure reliable power transmission, even with longer trains or difficult sections of track.
