Piko 51101 electric locomotive BR 101, DB AG, Ep. VI (digital, without sound) AC/AC

Novelty 2021: Now this jack-of-all-trades of the DB AG is also represented as a PIKO Expert model. The modern design of the locomotive has been reproduced exactly. The locomotive is painted in traffic red according to the prototype, including the "DB cookie". The single-arm pantographs have been reproduced with extreme filigree. Sharply engraved bogies round off the visual appearance. Brake hoses and sun visors that can be retrofitted are included. A powerful 5-pole motor ensures a free ride. Equipped with two flywheels, the PIKO BR 101 is extremely quiet. Two diagonally mounted traction tires provide traction when moving forward. Technical highlights are the installed cab and driver's cab lighting. The light changes in red/white depending on the direction of travel, of course, using the latest LED technology. In digital operation, these functions can be switched separately. This is controlled by a PluX 22 decoder. By means of a plug-in interface, the simple digitalization is already prepared. The center conductor version is delivered from the factory with an mfx-capable decoder.
