The Piko H0 electric locomotive Rh 1018 of the ÖBB brings a striking chapter of Austrian railroad history to your model railroad. Originally built on the basis of the German E 18 for the electrified Western Railway, the class was taken over into the ÖBB fleet as the 1018 series after the Second World War. Extensively rebuilt and modernized, the locomotives remained in regular service until the 1990s - the model shows the Era V version in authentic detail.

Technical sophistication meets design variant

The model impresses with the correct implementation of the ÖBB-specific front ends, two filigree metal scissor pantographs and numerous etched parts for the finest detailing. The interior features replica driver's desks and engine room details. The cab and engine room lighting can be switched digitally when retrofitting a decoder. The body is equipped with an NEM shaft suitable for close couplers and the locomotive runs safely on radii from 358 mm.

Rh 1018 - Fast and attractive in ÖBB service

The 1930s high-speed locomotive was used in nostalgic service in Austria until 2001. The structural modifications, including to the front ends, main switch and interior components, made it unmistakable - and Piko has now accurately reproduced these details in the model.

Digitizable & sound-capable

The locomotive has an NEM 658 PluX22 interface for easy digitization. The installation of a PIKO sound decoder (#56621) is prepared. The lighting and the direction of travel-dependent light change in white/red ensure authentic operating scenarios.
