With the new design of the class E 17, PIKO is consistently continuing the series of the well-known old electric locomotives. The model reproduces the distinctive forms of the prototype to scale. In order to perfectly reproduce the operating condition in Era IV, all of the changes made to the prototype in the course of modernization were also incorporated in the model. In addition to the front windows, these also affected the roofline and the front end design. Technically, the new PIKO model has its finger on the pulse of time and has silky smooth running characteristics, good tractive effort and light change installed as standard. Like the lighting in the driver's cab and engine room, this is designed in state-of-the-art LED technology. The analog version can be digitally retrofitted in no time thanks to the PluX22 interface.
